Each uniform is completed by wearing different patches and nametapes. Uniforms will have Velcro applied to the appropriate areas to facilitate changing uniform requirements. The standard uniform will be the ACU uniform cut which already has the correct Velcro in the proper places. The following should be applied to all uniforms.
Unit Tape : 5” A-TACs tape with Velcro backing with “WILDCARDS” lettering in OD Green. Unit tape is worn on the your left side above your left breast pocket
Name Tape: 5” A-TAC tape with Velcro backing with the individuals “LAST NAME” lettering in OD Green. The name tape is worn on your right side above the right breast pocket.
Rank Insignia: 1.5” x 1.5” A-TACs patch with Velcro backing. Rank insignia shall be worn on the center chest. The rank may also be worn on the right shoulder. A second Rank patch can also be worn centered above the unit tape above the left breast pocket.
Small Name Tape: 3” A-TACs tape with Velcro backing with individuals “Name” lettering in OD Green is worn on the back of your hat / head gear or somewhere on your tactical gear . A second Small name tape may be worn on the right shoulder pocket flap. This encouraged for leadership possitions
Unit Patch: The unit patch is worn on the left shoulder pocket / left shoulder and the back of your tac. Vest / gear. The unit patch will be given to all individuals that have passed the corresponding course (Basic Training , Selection). Members will wear the patch of the team they are currently assigned to.
Combat Patch: A combat patch or operation patch is worn on the right shoulder pocket / right shoulder.
American flag: A Reversed American flag (Desert or Multicam) may be worn on the right shoulder above the rank patch.
Colorado flag: A Colorado flag patch may be worn on the left shoulder above the unit patch and any qualification tabs. In outdoor / woodland events a Arid Colorado flag will be worn. At MOUT / Urban events or any other event determined by the team commander a full color Colorado flag will be worn.
Team Sponsorship Patch: From time to time the Wildcards may be required to wear sponsorship patches depending of various sponsorship agreements. Further information will be provided for each sponsorship patch. In most cases the sponsorship patch will replace one of the flag patches.
Qualification tab: Any qualification tabs earned may be worn on the left shoulder above the Unit patch. The WILDCARD tab will be worn directly above the unit patch followed by additional qualification tabs.
The Wildcard gear requirements are: solid Olive Drab (OD) green, OD green base(vest) with Tan(also referred to as coyote tan) accessory/pouches, or Tan base(vest) with OD green accessory/pouches. The Wildcards have adopted the intermixing of solid colors on gear to help with camouflage and to assist with breaking up of solid color overlays on their camo. Having two toned gear allows our primary gear set up to be used with all camo patterns thus far experienced at events, allowing each member to only have to build one kit as opposed to multiple kits for multiple camo patterns, hopefully saving members money on gear costs. The brand of gear to be used is left to the players to decide, however, newer players are highly encouraged to seek out assistance and guidance on gear selection from the senior members.
